On Dec. 5, 2013, some little activists from Fair Immigration Reform Movement’s Youth In Action campaign decided to ask Speaker of the House John Boehner: Won’t you please pass immigration reform in time for the holidays? While they were mostly ignored by congressional staff, you can’t argue that their passion and humanity echoes throughout their song. Capitol police were quick to shut down their singing, but you’ll notice that while the cop in the first video asked the group if they “Comprende?” the cop in the second video, at House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s office, had a bit more compassion.
