We eliminated most child labor in the United States in the ’30s, but in other parts of the world, this is the norm — or at least acceptable. Is it any wonder we lose factories and production every year to countries like this? Here’s a bright idea: Let’s make it illegal for any U.S. company to use a contractor or supplier who engages in this kind of thing. And then let’s enforce it.
