Mother With Breast Cancer Dances With Son At His Wedding, Dies 3 Days Later (Video)
Mary Ann Manning’s last dance was in front of her family, friends and loved ones.
The 61-year-old Dublin, CA, resident had been fighting breast cancer while her son, Ryan, was planning his wedding. Struggling and in pain, Manning still wanted to be a part of his day.
A wedding-goer captured the emotional moment when Ryan and Manning stepped up to the dance floor for the traditional mother-son dance.
They slowly sway to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s “Over the Rainbow/What A Wonderful World.” When Ryan bends down to let his mother give him on a kiss on the cheek, there’s not a dry eye in the house. It’s a very special moment for the dying woman and her family.
Manning passed away just three days after the wedding, as if she’d been holding out for the celebration.
In her obituary, the family wrote,
We will never forget your love… May the rainbows follow you forever.
This is a video that the Manning family will treasure forever.
