Jeremy Lin deserves an Academy Award for his latest performance as Wang Wei-Chih at the flagship Adidas store in Taipei.

Although he is one of the most recognized athletes in the world, the guard for the Lakers managed to fool a handful of shoppers with an ingenious wig and glasses like Harry Potter’s. But, for some of his biggest fans, that still wasn’t enough.

In the hilarious five-minute video, Lin successfully deflected all mentions of his resemblance to his true self, and in a truly masterful performance, sold the soccer-loving character of Wang.

In the end, Lin revealed himself and the customers were left in pure shock.

This man is an icon out there, and no matter how far he’s removed from his Linsanity days in New York, he’ll always be the man in Taiwan.
