“Fireball” Spotted In The Skies Above Britain

This video purports to show the object pass by, faintly, in the top left corner.

This supposed photo of the meteor, which is being widely shared on Twitter, has been revealed to be fake.

The object is most likely to be related to the Eta Aquariids meteor shower, which peaks every year around this time, and is caused by earth passing through the trail of debris left by Halley’s Comet.
