Astronauts Manage To Put A GoPro In A Floating Water Bubble In Space (Video)
Astronauts get to see and do some pretty cool sh*t that the rest of us will never be able to experience first-hand.
But thanks to the advances of modern technology, we can at least get an idea of what they spend their time doing out there in zero gravity.
Case in point: this video, which depicts astronauts on NASA’s Expedition 40 experimenting with, as they describe it, “the phenomenon of water surface tension in microgravity.”
Translation: The space explorers created a giant floating sphere of water and “submerged” a GoPro inside the liquid bubble. They filmed the experiment in 3D, so if you have leftover glasses from the movies, you can watch the clip that way (because everything is infinitely cooler in 3D).
There is, however, also a regular version for people to watch on their computers, phones, etc.
Visit NASA to see more 3D videos shot from space.
