It looked like a wonderful wedding on the surface.
Roses and ribbons were filled throughout John and Lillys wedding. But theres one major problem with this picture. Lilly is only 11-years-old. Turns out Lilly is not alone as 15 million children like her are actually married every single year. This very powerful video put out by Bridal Musings and UNICEF highlight this sickening tradition of child marriage. Hard to believe that humans are still being treated like property, and in this case it is helpless young girls. And this occurs all over the world.

The sad truth is that a girl who is married as a child is more likely to be out of school, experience domestic violence, and become infected with HIV/AIDS. She is more likely to have children when she herself is still a child, and is far more likely to die due to complications during pregnancy and childbirth.
Here we have Lilly. A young child who we would normally picture playing with dolls. Instead she is walking down the aisle with a 35-year-old sicko male named John. Does Lillys family do anything to stop this disgusting act? They are right there after all. The complicit family does nothing, besides actually encouraging the it to go forth.
