See How the Sci-Fi Cities of ‘Looper’ Were Created
One of the best parts of sci-fi movies is to take a peek at the future and see how it might look. We loved movies like Back to The Future Part 2 (flying cars! 3D sharks in the middle of the city!) and Blade Runner (robots everywhere!) for that reason. Looper was one of those movies. Its future was dystopian and intriguing. But how did they create that disbanded, decadent Kansas City?
A new video, released by special effects firm Atomic Fiction shows us exactly how they did it. In the video, we can see how the studio overlaid graphics to real-world shots and blended them to make it all look real. The results, as seen in the movie, are impressive.
Take a look at the video below to see how Looper‘s dystopian cities came to life.
