Man Surfs On Top Of Whale Carcass While Surrounded By Sharks (Video)

Generally, people enjoying their time at sea try their best to avoid creatures that have the potential to tear them to shreds with their teeth, like sharks.

Harrison Williams from Perth, Australia, however, apparently does the opposite when he’s out on the water.

This video captured by a Seven News helicopter shows the fearless Australian jumping off a boat and into the ocean between Rottnest Island and Freemantle, off the nation’s Western coast, to climb atop a rotting whale carcass floating nearby.

The massive whale, meanwhile, is serving as a snack for a host of sharks, which you can also see in the video. So when Williams plunges into the water, he’s jumping into actual shark-infested seas. No thanks.

I’m not even sure if that’s the worst part, though. As Williams struggles to climb onto the whale carcass, he tries to pull himself up and ends up with his face buried in a rotted section of the whale’s torso.

It’s a good thing he didn’t get attacked by one of the three nearby hungry sharks because that would have been a pretty crappy way to go.

Luckily, he manages to get back on the boat safely, but seriously — this is one risk not worth taking.
