Have You Seen These Parking Spots That Are Painted Purple? THIS Is What It Means..

Have you seen the purple parking spots? They have been popping up around the country and you will be proud at what they represent.

These spots are designated for our men and women who have served and were injured in combat. These individuals have given so much for this country that its really a no-brainer to provide as much gratitude as possible when they return home. The thing is, many return home with serious injuries and coping with regular life once again can be a huge hurdle. The road towards recovery is almost certain to not be an easy one. Any help towards making the transition as easy as possible is definitely a worthy cause.

The Wounded Warriors Family Support Organization reports the following: There are an estimated 1.8 million Purple Heart recipients, combat wounded service members who have transitioned back into civilian life.

The organization came up with Combat Wounded Parking Signs for local businesses across the country who wanted to participate in the offering up of reserved parking for those injured in combat. The spot is a purple heart image with “reserved” written on it as well as the words combat wounded.

What a terrific tribute and a constant reminder to all of us of the thousands of men and women who have given so much by serving in the military and protecting us from harm.
