Community Post: Nine Things You Should NEVER Do On The Subway
1. Touch a stranger’s hand while holding onto a pole
I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE DISGUSTED IN MY LIFE.
2. Bring your bike on the train
You are literally bringing a mode of transportation onto another mode of transportation. Redundant much?
3. Have Anything To Do With Anyone that mutters the words “It’s SHOWTIME!”
Yes, I see you doing your flips. Yes, I see you almost kicking me in the face. Yes, I see you interrupting my already annoying commute. No, I will not put money in the hat.
4. Not let people off the train before you get on
What? Are you afraid the train is magically going to run away from the station? You’ll get on. Patience is a virtue, my friend.
Plus, the more people you let off, the more room you’ll have to be inconsiderate to others!
5. Make out, grope, nuzzle, cuddle, or basically any other form of PDA with other people standing right next to you
Get a room. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
6. Preach your hate
Or at least be prepared for when someone calls you out on it. NEW YORKERS DON’T TAKE NO $HIT FROM NOBODY!
7. Take up more than one seat
Does your bag need a seat? Do your feet need a seat? Is it that your @SS can’t make up its mind about which seat it would rather sit in?
NO. YOU’RE JUST RUDE!
8. Push your way into a car that clearly doesn’t have room for you
You do realize you’re going to look like an idiot when you have to get off because the doors won’t close with you in between them, right?
9. Lean against the pole in the middle of the car
Don’t worry. It’s not like other people need to hold onto that pole so they don’t go flying down the car. As long as you’re comfortable, boo!
