All you greyhound people seem to ignore that a great dane weighs 120 lbs. or more. That’s pretty impressive for a dog of that size.

if a greyhound had been there it would have passed him turned around to come back, then over-taken him again – if someone can do the same thing for a fit & healthy grey, they’d be hitting 40mph+ easilyI used to have 2 greyhounds and their common play technique with other dogs is to run, look around, wonder why the others aren’t keeping up, go to find them, then over-take again, or just circle back round, out-pacing other dogs without even going at full speed!

Don’t forget that Greyhounds are one of the breeds that brought Danes around. And a very good point made about their weight! I had a large Grey (90lbs and about 5 inches taller than our normal size Grey) and a small Dane (120 and only 2-3 inches taller than the Grey). They played and kept up with each other just fine. 🙂 Though, once in a while the Grey would show off with a sprint around the yard while the Dane looked around confused. lol (Course, she was mostly blind so of course she was confused on where he went!) Super dogs, both breeds! This guy looks like he’s having a great time!
